Despite the beauty of this poster, and its design merits, there’s a crazy little association behind it called the Anscombe Society. I had no idea that this sort of thing existed at universities across the States, then again I really shouldn’t be surprised.
It’s a stand alone society, not necessarily parading as a religious network or as a pro-life group, but advocating for “the definition of marriage as the exclusive, monogamous union of a man and a woman” encourages “a conception of feminism that encourages motherhood”, promotes “a chaste lifestyle which respects and appreciates human sexuality, relationships and dignity” you get the idea.
What I don’t understand is that highly intelligent people, as those who go to Princeton and MIT, where two of the chapters exist, can buy into this sort of thing! Are we not in the year 2010? Craziness, that’s all.
